Information Technology
Information Technology (IT) concerns the use of technology, i.e., the hardware as well as the software, to manage and process information. IT encompasses the acquisition of data and information. Computer scientists then convert the data to usable formats, store, protect, transmit, and retrieve data and information. This can be a complicated and always reiterative process to build a robust and reliable system.
The CEMOS research team employs various web applications, web services, and the design of effective interfaces to help users process and understand the information they need to do their work.
