The first version of the new web-based glider pilot interface (GLMPC) was deployed at the Naval Oceanographic Office (NAVO) in late June and is currently being used to pilot up to 8 Seagliders in a Navy exercise in the western Pacific.
Pete Brodsky, Sachiko Honda, and Robert Carr have been busy preparing control and communication software for an experimental glider called X-Ray. The vehicle was on display at the Panama City AUVfest in June '07 and began at-sea testing in July, and will culminate with an operational exercise in October.
